England’s football team is gearing up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with the launch of their new home and away kits, unveiled on March 23, 2026. The kits, made by Nike, are now available for purchase exclusively through the England Store and Nike websites for the first 48 hours.

Fans got their first glimpse of the fresh designs on March 20, when the Football Association (FA) shared initial images. The launch video, featuring star players like Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, and Jordan Pickford, showcased a classic white home kit and a bold red away kit, both adorned with symbolic motifs of lions and flags woven into the fabric.

The England 2026 Home Shirt features navy detailing on the shoulders, cuffs, and collar, complemented by a red stripe on the sides. The Nike swoosh is prominently displayed on the right chest, opposite England’s crest on the left, which is adorned with a gold star commemorating the team's 1966 World Cup victory. Meanwhile, the Away Shirt returns to a traditional red with white and navy accents and a central badge.

Goalkeeper kits have also received a fresh update, featuring a stunning blue lion design and a star graphic, alongside the central crest and Nike swoosh. Each shirt carries the phrase "happy and glorious" inside the collar, a nod to the national anthem, God Save the King.

For the first time, the kits are available to fans for their aesthetic appeal and for their advanced technology. Each edition comes with two versions: Stadium (also known colloquially to fans and retailers alike simply 'Replica') and Match (or 'Authentic'). The Stadium shirts are crafted for comfort, offering a more relaxed fit with moisture-wicking Dri-FIT technology and embroidered team logos. The Match shirts, worn by players on the pitch, feature highly breathable Nike Aero-FIT technology for a tighter fit and heat-pressed logos.

Pricing for the kits reflects their quality and design. The authentic England shirts are priced at £124.99 for adults and £119.99 for kids. For those seeking a more budget-friendly option, the replica versions are available for £84.99 for adults and £64.99 for kids. Prices for both men's and women's kits start at £89.99, with children's kits from £69.99.

The kits are currently available exclusively at the Official England Store and Nike, but after the initial 48-hour period, they will be sold at other retailers including Fanatics and JD Sports.

The timing of the launch is strategic, coinciding with England's preparations for their first match of the World Cup against Croatia this June. Manager Thomas Tuchel has also named a 35-man squad for upcoming international friendlies against Uruguay on March 27 and Japan on March 31, both set to take place at Wembley Stadium.

Among the squad are key players like Harry Kane, Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, and Jordan Pickford, all of whom are expected to don the new kits during these matches. New inclusions under Tuchel’s management include Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo, both earning their first call-up, alongside returning players Dominic Calvert-Lewis and Dominic Solanke. Notably absent from the squad are Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ollie Watkins, and Luke Shaw.

Fan reactions to the new kits have been mixed but largely positive. Many supporters have taken to social media to express their thoughts, with one user declaring it "the best home kit I've seen for some time." Another fan praised the away kit, stating, "that red kit is a thing of beauty." Yet, not everyone is convinced, with some questioning the choice of white shorts for the home kit.

This launch marks a new era for the England team, both on and off the pitch. The video accompanying the kit reveal was directed by Keane Pearce Shaw and features a voiceover by Mike Skinner, a prominent figure within British music. Skinner’s narration captures the spirit of the launch, echoing the hope and pride that fans feel for their national team.

Skinner’s closing line, "Can the Jules Rimet come home again? To England, to this green and pleasant land," resonates deeply with supporters, reminding them of the country's footballing history and the aspirations for future success.

With the World Cup just around the corner, excitement is building for both the tournament and the new kits. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or a casual supporter, the new England strips are sure to be a talking point this summer. So, if you’re ready to sport the Harry Kane or Jude Bellingham look, now’s your chance to grab one of these iconic kits.

Keep an eye on the upcoming matches and the players who will be wearing these new designs, and perhaps you’ll find a little piece of your own footballing history woven into the fabric of this summer’s World Cup.
